1. Changing the client side:

Do the follwoing on each client:

• Go to Tools->Options or Edit->Preferences
• Go to ‘Advanced’ Tab
• Click ‘Config Editor’ button
• Enter ‘mail.server.server’ as the filter
• Enter the name mail.server.server<number>.fetch_by_chunks, and set it to
  ‘false’ (eg i have mail.server.server3.fetch_by_chunks=false).

2. Change the server side for all clients:

• Start the Exchange Administrator program.
• Select <Organization>, and then <Site>. Select Configuration, and then select the Protocols container.
• Double-click the “IMAP4 (Mail) Site Defaults” object.
• Clear the “Enable fast message retrieval” check box.

For Exchange servers > 2003:

You can enable the exact size for everyone with:
Set-ImapSettings -EnableExactRFC822Size:$true

Or only for a specific user:
Set-CASMailbox “IMAP User” -ImapUseProtocolDefaults:$false -ImapEnableExactRFC822Size:$true

I just got a quite annoyed mail from a buddy who let me know that he won’t join Facebook.

So? Why would I care?

Well truth is: Facebook sent him an eMail in my name that he should join Facebook.

How they got his address?

When I planned my bday party I used Facebook’s calendar to inform all my friends. He was the only one without a Facebook account. Since I just wanted him to know the exact date, I entered his eMail address and he got informed. I never wanted him to join nor I wanted Facebook to ask him to. Deep in the Facebook KB I found a handy link where you can see which invitations you already made and which eMail addresses are ‘synchronised’ with Facebook. Ready for the devastating truth?

apt-get install postgresql

When it’s done you have to change the password of the postgres database admin. I used “toor” as password…simple isn’t it

sudo -u postgres psql
\password postgres
\q

After that we crate our database:

sudo -u postgres createdb -0 postgres autopwn

Then restart. Back in Metasploit fill your new created database with:

db_connect postgres:toor@127.0.0.1/autopwn

Well you might first need to start the proper driver and perhaps do some gem installs.

db_driver postgresql

Now Nmap your LAN and happy autopwning
Note: If you still get errors make sure you started Metasploit from the menu entry of the X console since this will make sure that all necessary variables are set.

Well since all modern notebooks do have a WLAN card built in, why not use this card as an access point? The average Linux guy is now really LOLing but for us Windows users this just was a dream. Now Microsoft implemented some nice command line tools to turn your WLAN card into an access point. You can find the information here:

To make the story short the command is:

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=”YOUR WLAN” key=”YOUR KEY” keyUsage=persistent

Followed by

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Since a Windows User is GUI-oriented, i created a small app which does the job for you:

The app provides you some nice (undocumented) command line options

• start -> Starts the WLAN you entered last
• stop -> Stops the WLAN
• start route 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 172.16.1.0 -> Adds a route after start (e.g. for VPN-Connections)

If you want to make your own app, create two text fields and two buttons and i’ll provide you the methods
